Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth:

as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter 5:8
So many deceptions everywhere
Thee is no way to name them all nor would it be beneficial
Each one has a following
There are Christians who believe the earth is flat,
that people fall off the edge and that all of us who believe in a round earth among the solar system are deceived
There are others who have
taken hold of different rules and laws of the Old Testament
and live by and adhere to those without Jesus, Yeshua, The Messiah
We are aware of the prosperity doctrine that teaches that God gives us riches on this earth if we do certain things to release them
So many different belief systems
So many philosophies other than the gospel of Jesus Christ
As Jesus warned in Matthew 24 twice that false Christs and false prophets will arise and will deceive many:
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ;
and shall deceive many. v 5
then again:
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,
and shall shew great signs and wonders;
insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. v 24
Not sure we have seen the great signs and wonders yet,
but Jesus warned us to not be deceived even if they do perform those
We are here
We are in the time Jesus spoke of
Exercise your senses
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age,
even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised
to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14
We are to love the truth if we don’t, God will send a spirit of delusion
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
There are admonitions in the Word to help us know:
Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh
is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come;
and even now already is it in the world. 1 John 4:2-3
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us;
he that is not of God heareth not us.
Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:6
That sounds easy enough,
but even sometimes people who do seem to love the truth
can be walking in error
If we are not well-versed in the Word of God,
we open ourselves up to deception
God knows our hearts and if we want the Truth above all else,
that is where He will guide us…to the Truth
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
he will guide you into all truth:
for he shall not speak of himself;
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13
Just like all things in the Kingdom of God,
we cannot be lazy or dismissive with the things of God
or we could be making a giant mistake
We have to take our spiritual lives very seriously
and consider Jesus our number one priority,
keep our first love hot, on-fire for God,
keeping Jesus at the preeminence of our lives
even more so as we see the End of Time drawing near
