We have to deal with unending nonsense.
We have to wade through it every day. It is part of living on this earth.
It seems there is no end in sight.
People focus on it constantly.
I try not to, but it is always beckoning me, ‘Look at me’. ‘Here I am, see what I can do?’
We can clean it and then, more hogwash fills its place.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
This is really the only way not to focus on the baloney: To focus on the good, lovely and pure.
Look for the blessings and keep your eyes on Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.
Sometimes it is easier said than done. We are only human and we reach our limits.
Jesus always knows how to get us out of the mire, how to triumph, thought it may take longer than we would like.
Do we get better at it as time goes on?
At first, it seems the answer is no because there is always more malarkey to deal with,
but if we make our best efforts of prayer and letting Him help us gain more self-control, we can get there.
Sometimes it feels like a big dump truck pulled up and emptied their load right at my feet.
Those are only short-lived thoughts.
I’m staying home today. I am depleted and have not enough strength to deal with more blathering lunacy.
Maybe tomorrow, Jesus, not today.
