Be not forgetful to entertain strangers:
for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2
Jesus said: Inasmuch as ye have done it unto
one of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40b
Since that is the case, we can be sure that many people
who are considered the least of these
have angels watching over them
The Bible gives us several examples
where angels have assisted the Lord in helping His people
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel:
for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand,
and to chasten thyself before thy God,
thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. Daniel 10:12
We are never to worship angels
or consider them more than servants of God just as we are
The angel that came to John in Revelation,
don’t worship me for I am your fellow servant:
And I John saw these things, and heard them.
And when I had heard and seen,
I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel
which shewed me these things.
Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not:
for I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren the prophets,
and of them which keep the sayings of this book:
worship God. Revelation 22:8-9
Balaam’s ass saw the angel of the Lord before Balaam did Numbers 22:22-35
The angels fought for God’s people, such as Elisha,
when they had battles and did not have a good amount of men
And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us
are more than they that be with them.
And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes,
that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man;
and he saw: and, behold,
the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
2 Kings 6:16-17
They are near
Jesus said: Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father,
and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
Matthew 26:53
When we are around other Christians,
you can be sure that there is at least one angel
with them to protect them
For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands,
lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Psalm 91:11-12
I had a miraculous retrieval from a deadly fall off a cliff once
My friend that was with me saw it, too, and thought I was a goner
I suspect many of us have had near death experiences
where we know if it weren’t for the intervention of God,
we would not be here
For some reason, we are still here
It might have been angels God used to protect us and keep us from harm
Either way, God deserves the glory
as He is the One who commanded them to care for us
Remember to be kind to everyone
and as loving as you are able
for some are entertaining angels unawares
