But he said unto them,
I have meat to eat that ye know not of. John 4:32
What is this meat that Jesus spoke of?
His word is multifaceted
and He may open up something to you that He didn’t to me
I am far from all-knowing but here’s my take:
For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. John 6:55
Jesus is the word
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
Hebrews 5:13 talks about babes in the word who can only handle milk
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age,
even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14
The meat that we know not of that Jesus spoke of is spiritual,
otherwise we would know about it:
Labour not for the meat which perisheth,
but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life,
which the Son of man shall give unto you:
for him hath God the Father sealed. John 6:27
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,
and to finish his work. John 4:34
If Jesus had meat to do, we most likely do, too
We must ask Him to reveal it to us by His Holy Spirit
It has been my experience from reading the word
and concentrating on the word and what it means
and by letting the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth is where the meat is,
that’s how I find it anyway
If you see something in the word that has a spark, delve into it,
that is the Lord showing you something
Start searching and you’ll find the hidden treasure,
the meat of the word
You may be led to cross references,
where you find out one thing that is similar
or you may find a part of the word
that is similar to a situation you are going through
Fasting and prayer are beneficial ways
to learn more about the spiritual realm and its importance
Fasting is a way to bring your flesh under subservience to your spirit,
when the fasting is done unto God with a pure heart and not unto men
That in no way means God can’t teach you things without fasting
He can and He does to open, willing hearts
Ask Him for your life and your walk
how you should approach growing stronger in Him
It seems there is no end to being close to Jesus
and learning more about Him
He has His ways to reach each one of us individually
Stay in the word and close to Him and listen to hear what He reveals to you,
then, grab hold of it, like sunken treasure…until you get the answer,
don’t give up, keep knocking, keep searching and reaching
You will be glad you did
