Staying in God’s perfect Will

I was thinking this morning
I was thinking of someone who wronged me
Someone who charged me a lot of money
and did not do the work properly
He refused to correct it
I have struggled with suing this person
and I felt like the Lord wanted me to let it go
So, this morning, a twinge of irritation came back
When Jesus says He wants us to forgive from the bottom of our hearts,
that is what He means
Apparently, there is still something inside of my heart
that shouldn’t be there
Something yucky, maybe green slimy stuff
Then, I remembered the scripture
that God works all things together for good,
but, if we are in sin, such as unforgiveness,
are we still able to gain the promise?
I’m not so sure, in fact, I’m sure not

God detests unforgiveness
In my opinion, most Christians, if they don’t make it to Heaven,
that will be why
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar,
and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way;
first be reconciled to thy brother,
and then come and offer thy gift
. Matthew 5:23-24
That one is even harder because
God is telling us to go out of our way and make amends
even though we don’t have unforgiveness, the other guy does

The idea is that God wants us to walk in love in every circumstance,
with every person, no matter what the situation
and how much they have wronged us
He expects no less
If we don’t forgive, we should not expect forgiveness from Him
For if you forgive men their trespasses,
your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses
. Matthew 6:13-14

If you are weak in this area, seek Him for the strength
With God, all things are possible
