Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer,
and He that formed thee from the womb,
I am the Lord that maketh
all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone;
that spreadeth abroad the earth by Myself; Isaiah 44:24
We are all tailor made
God chose our noses and the color of our hair and skin
He chose whether we had short, stubby legs,
whether we are ugly or beautiful
All persons were intentionally created
so that each of us has been given the best opportunity to serve Him
We all have our strengths and weaknesses,
some people don’t like this or that about their bodies
or how they were made and get plastic surgery to change things
We’ve all heard or seen people who have changed features
or have done so ourselves
We can change the color of our hair
Some people even choose to change the color of their skin,
some use lighteners, others use darkening lotions
Moses couldn’t talk
He told the Lord he couldn’t speak well, God asked him to do so anyway,
God was not happy Moses argued
but then God had compassion on Moses
and gave him Aaron to use as a mouthpiece, to speak to the congregation
And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent,
neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant:
but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth?
or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind?
have not I the Lord?
Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth,
and teach thee what thou shalt say. Exodus 4:10-12
We all know Moses was used by God in a great way
Many years later,
Jesus’ disciples wondered about a man who was born blind:
And His disciples asked him, saying,
Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents:
but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. John 9:2-3
That man’s life eventually proclaimed the works of God,
not that a blind person cannot do that in other ways, they can
This is just an example of God using his life
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver,
but also of wood and of earth;
and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 2 Timothy 2:20
We all have our place and our ups and downs in life
We have qualities and we have failings
We have strengths and weaknesses
Let us do our best to serve God and glorify Him
with whatever blessings we have been given
and seek Him about our deficits, to understand them,
to accept them or to change them somehow
Jesus is sufficient for all of our needs
