Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:34
We all need to remember that.
Let’s look at that verse in another version:
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.
Today’s trouble is enough for today. NLT
The times are hard.
Jesus is still planning on caring for us.
He told us many times in His word that He will provide for us, care for us.
He took care of the Israelites
when they were wandering in the Wilderness with no supplies.
He kept their shoes intact, He said,
And I have led you forty years in the wilderness:
your clothes are not waxen old upon you,
and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. Deuteronomy 29:5
We do need to cleave to Him, to seek Him, to look to Him
and trust and realize that Jesus will care for us.
If we forget, we can find scriptures that can remind us
of what He has already done to care for His people.
If we have chosen Him, He has taken us under His care
and we can rely on Him to meet our needs.
Needs do not mean wants.
Things will probably not always be the same way we like things to be.
Things might be different than the comforts we know and are used to.
Bless the Lord anyway, be humble and thank Jesus for His provision.
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide;
as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.
Genesis 22:14
