Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy.
The Sabbath Day is a day of rest, a time to refrain from fleshly desires,
a day to remember Who Jesus is, the Great and Mighty God.
We should do all the Sabbath Day commands at least once a week, or more if needed.
While God admonishes us to take a day of rest, He also does not want us to toil except in Him.
We go to Him with our needs and our weighty burdens and He gives us rest for our souls.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29
God wants us to spend one day of the week honoring Him as is referenced in the Ten Commandments.
It does not have to be any particular day when you rest for your soul.
That could happen at anytime, anywhere. Sometimes during the day, any day.
Jesus wants us to search Him out and bring to Him our burdens and seek Him for strength
so we can make it through.
Times are tough and they’re about to get tougher.
Keep your eyes on Jesus.
