The natural world is our battlefield.
We need to be on at all times.
Listening faithfully, praying without ceasing, watching for our next move as directed by the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes the battle is more like a sword fight with the unsaved or even the saved at times.
Being sensitive to how the Holy Spirit will use each of us is key to success.
Even though it may not always feel like success, if we have been obedient, that is what God asks of us.
The armour needs to on and functioning properly.
Our hearts need to be clean and pure before the Lord.
Our motives need to reflect what the Lord has given us in His word.
The good kings would seek the Lord, Shall we go up, Lord? before they went forward into various battles.
Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego all served the Lord.
Daniel was thrown in a pit with lions and God shut their mouths and kept him safe.
As soon as the people who had cast Daniel into the lions’ den entered, the lions devoured them.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were put into a fiery furnace
and they escaped without the smell of smoke on their garments. Jesus met them there.
The men who put them in the furnace died from the heat.
Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego knew the laws of the land,
but those earthly laws interfered with the laws of God.
They retained the right to serve the Lord and God honored them.
The most important thing to remember as we enter various battles is: to fear God, not man,
to know God’s word and to be in-tune with the Holy Spirit.
