One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4
How does anyone know God is beautiful?
How can you see Him?
Jesus wasn’t beautiful when He walked on the Earth:
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground:
He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him,
there is no beauty that we should desire Him. Isaiah 53:2
That tells us that His beauty is spiritual, holiness and spectacular.
God is really beautiful.
We can only know that if He shows that to us.
All things are delivered unto Me of My Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;
neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and He to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him.
Matthew 11:27
Keith Green wrote a most beautiful song before he died at such a young age:
Keith Green saw the beauty of the Lord.
He also reflected the beauty of the Lord.
This clause shows his desire for the Lord:
“And when I’m doing well
Help me to never seek a crown
For my reward is giving glory to You”
This is still Keith Green’s song, but it was remade years later by Jesus Culture.
This song is one of those when you can feel the presence of the Lord.
You might even be able to see the Lord in a spiritual sense:
