It seems, there is always a better one
That’s the lie
That’s the deception
Someone better, something better
Reaching for the unattainable
Never getting there
This world is full of false promises
Satan the tempter:
No, God knows if you eat from the tree,
your eyes will be opened and you will be knowledgeable
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:5
Satan, the tempter, the deceiver is full of hot air
He is a liar and an imposter
He is no match for God
The problem is, we get caught in his devices, in his schemes
We are constantly at battle with him and his sketchy plans for us
to deter us from the One true God and Savior, Jesus Christ
Jesus is all
He is the One who satisfies
He is the One who fulfills
He is the One who was sent by God to give us Eternal Life
and to reconcile us to the Father
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. John 14:6
There is no human being,
no exalted deity besides Christ,
who can and does bring us to the Father
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him,
and given Him a name which is above every name: Philippians 2:9
