God’s covering is like an umbrella Psalm 91
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. v 1
He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. v 4
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2
These are both spiritual laws
One is higher than the other
The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus
is far above
the Law of Sin and Death
If we are walking in The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus,
then we can also proclaim that freedom in prayer,
knowing that the Law of Sin and Death
is powerless against The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus
Even though the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus is higher,
the problem is, if we are not careful,
we can take ourselves out of the protection
of the Law of Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
We must do our best to follow Him and obey Him,
carry our crosses daily,
choose life
Thee are a couple of examples I can think of
where we can remove ourselves from that covering:
One is hatred or unforgiveness
If someone thinks they can harbor foul, sticky hatred in their heart
and expect Jesus to honor and forgive and bless them,
He doesn’t work that way
That would be a choice that the person decided,
which is an act against the Lord,
an act that would fall under the Law of Sin and Death
In order for us to be protected by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus,
we must also walk in it
Another obvious example would be smoking
which would be a sin against our body where the Holy Spirit dwells
Smoking falls under the Law of Sin and Death
Its fruit is easy to ignore because it can be
causing damage for many years undetected
I am sure you can think of other examples
This is not to go through each one and dissect them
but you might want to seek the Lord and ask Him to reveal to you
when you have chosen to operate under the Law of Sin and Death
or if you are now, at present in any area of your life
not walking in the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus
It is not something we can see with our natural eye
It would be the Holy Spirit opening up His wisdom to reveal it to us
The method to get from operating and changing yourself
from one Law to another may not be a simple task
Ask Jesus to show you the way
He certainly can and will make a way if that is what you are asking of Him
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,
he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11
The Spirit that dwells in us is the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead
No excuses
The power is available to us
Learning to access it and allowing Him to work in us is a challenge
This could mean fasting and much prayer
Only God knows what is needed
Breaking its chains is most likely different for each situation
An extra measure of faith?
Whatever you need, He knows and He is there to give you a hand up

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1
Who walk not after the flesh
but after the spirit
Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Mighty,
the Awesome and the Terrible God does not waver or change
He is clear in what He asks from us
He is also clear in how the spiritual realm operates
It is actually very simple,
something we should all be able to grasp if we think about it
Think about it
He wants to set us free so we can walk in the newness and liberty of Christ, remaining under the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus
He has the method on how to get there for each of us and in each situation
Seek Him about it
