For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and He poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof,
all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. Psalm 75:8
This is a good cup from the Lord:
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalm 23:5
Another good cup from the Lord:
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying,
This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:20
And yet another good cup from the Lord:
that will be filled with blessings and struggles as we learn to live for Jesus.
I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. Psalm 116:13
Jesus had to drink a cup that He wanted to pass from Him::
And He went a little further, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying,
O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me:
nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt. Matthew 26:39
Make up your mind. Whom do you wish to serve?
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils:
ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
1 Corinthians 10:21
This cup is wrath and indignation without mixture.
as the first verse mentioned is with mixture,
like when He sends rain on the just and the unjust (see Matthew 5:45).
Jesus gives everyone a chance:
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God,
which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation;
and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone
in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Revelation 14:10
