Paul explains the gospel then he explains the false Gospel. Love the truth and reject what is false, place yourself in humility under the Word of God.
When I was a young Christian, my soul was concerned with many scriptures and I realized that I must cast down my thoughts (2 Corinthians 10:5) because His thoughts are higher and His ways higher than mine (Isaiah 55:8&9) Humility before the Word of God is good since Jesus is the Word (John 1:1)
I would take things before His throne and ask Him to show me those things they way He saw them. My mind slowly transformed. I still have to weigh my thoughts and even judgments I have against the Word of God. He always is faithful to help me to see. Sometimes it takes time, but my process is to realize His Word is always above my thoughts and conclusions and if I don’t understand right away, I will understand in time. Either way, His word is above me and my thoughts.
Jesus is very clear about his Word: “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38
Keep yourself pure with His strength. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
