When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him,
then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory:
And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another,
as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand,
Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Matthew 25:31-34
This separation happens before because people make their choices.
When people resist the Lord, those who are walking with the Lord
will find it harder to join in closeness with those who are in the world,
whose efforts are not toward what God has for each of us.
But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. John 10:26
Those who love the world, who choose the world, who live for the world and its benefits and rewards
will not understand the calling of God.
They will be separated from those who do follow Jesus. The gap will widen and become more apparent.
This will happen at an alarming speed.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15
There is no pretending. We must each make our choice. We must each pick a side.
As the time grows darker and the realization that Jesus is nearing His return,
those who have not yet picked a side will be compelled to choose.
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16
This is not the time to dilly dally in the road. Take up your cross and follow Jesus.
