How does that happen?
How does the Holy Spirit lead us into the Truth?
How come it doesn’t happen for everyone?
Not everyone is looking for the Truth
Some people don’t love the Truth
You have to love the Truth
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
In order to love the Truth, Who is Jesus,
we have to be able to put all of our thoughts and opinions and desires
at His feet, we have to give up our lives completely
and follow Him whole-heartedly
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so,
he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19
When Jesus walked on the Earth, not everyone He met was interested in Him
Not only were many not interested in Who Jesus was, some despised Him
Many flocked to see His miracles and what He was able to do
That does not mean they were interested in Him,
in Who He was, in getting to know Him
Many want to do things the way they like to do,
rather than obey
Jesus required much from those who followed Him
There was no pussy-footing around,
Jesus wanted solid followers,
those who were willing to give up all to follow Him
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: John 10:27
Not every one that saith unto Me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21
We need to have clean hands and a pure heart
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting. 1 Timothy 2:8
We cannot clean our own hands
Jesus has to do this for us
Peter saith unto Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet.
Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with Me. John 13:8
Humility
But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you in due time: 1 Peter 5:6
Repent of Sin
Then Peter said unto them,
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
No hidden sin
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Honor and Obey Jesus
in all that He asks and we can be His disciples indeed
His Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us into all Truth
It is there we will find Jesus is the Truth
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come,
He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself;
but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak:
and He will shew you things to come. John 16:13
