The Kingdom of Heaven is within you.
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there!
for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:21
The Kingdom of God is within you.
That means a lot.
It means He and you have become one.
It means the significance of the earth
will become pale in comparison to our spiritual home that we can’t see.
We know by faith that Heaven, that we only somewhat understand,
can comprehend, is our eternal home.
I go to prepare a place for you.
In My Father’s house are many mansions.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2
Where is God?
He is right here.
He fills Heaven and Earth.
Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord.
Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. Jeremiah 23:24
He goes where He is welcome.
If He is not welcomed somewhere,
they will still one day stand before God.
It will not be a good day for them.
Not everyone wants to know God.
The values on Earth are much different than the values in Heaven.
Many like to pretend God doesn’t exist.
Or ignore Jesus like He is not there.
To push aside the words He has spoken.
Some refuse His Holy Spirit.
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11
Every soul will bow to Jesus, but He will not dwell in each person.
Then answered the Jews and said unto Him,
What sign shewest Thou unto us, seeing that Thou doest these things?
Jesus answered and said unto them,
Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building,
and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
But He spake of the temple of His body. John 2:18-21
Those who are like the Pharisees will never comprehend spiritual things.
For those who have chosen Christ,
chosen to walk with Him, welcomed Him into their lives,
He has made your life His dwelling place.
He has set up His throne and is guiding and directing your life.
As much as He is allowed to do,
as He does not push beyond the access you or I have given Him.
What? know ye not that your body
is the temple of the Holy Ghost
which is in you, which ye have of God,
and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19
Just like the gospel, it is difficult to understand with our human imagination.
It is only through our spirits, by the Holy Spirit, who reveals the truth to us.
We can only barely even begin to comprehend what it all means.
To truly think of God setting up His kingdom in our heart
is such a glorious idea and also so very difficult to fathom.
When Jesus sets up His kingdom within you,
His temple, the temple of your body, that is an amazing honor.
Lord, help us comprehend that our body is the temple of Your Holy Spirit.
