And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:
and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:12
How beautiful that will be when Jesus confesses a name before His father and before His angels.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life,
but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels. Revelation 3:5
Remember when Moses was pleading with the Lord to forgive His people
and Moses said, blot my name out of Your Book?
And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin,
and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin;
and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of Thy Book which Thou hast written.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My Book.
Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee:
behold, Mine Angel shall go before thee:
nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.
And the Lord plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made. Exodus 32:31-35
The only one who can atone for sin is Jesus.
God writes the names in the Book of Life and He blots them out. It is all up to Him.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them:
and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him,
whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:7-8
And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15
Paul knew some people were written in the Book of Life.
The Holy Spirit can reveal to us if we are in His Book.
I suspect it goes hand in hand with the scripture about working out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
Knowing we are saved, knowing we have the surety of having our names in His Book of Life.
It would be good to know straight from God, that He scribed our name in His Book of Life.
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel,
with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers,
whose names are in the Book of Life. Philippians 4:3
Jesus is talking about entering Heaven at this point in the Book of Revelation:
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:
but they which are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Revelation 21:27
That means everyone but God’s faithful followers will worship the Beast.
And whether they were written in the Book of Life or not, we may not know,
there are many ways to be blotted out of the Book of Life:
Accepting the Mark of the Beast and those who worshipped his image will be cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (See Revelation 19:7)
There are also other warnings from the Lord that are given to us
that will prevent us from entering the Kingdom of Heaven.
Heaven cannot allow abominations in,
otherwise it will end up with the same evil Earth has had since the fall.
