The Lord’s Prayer as a Prayer

Don’t forget to pray the Lord’s Prayer

Jesus told us to:
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:
for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them:
for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Matthew 6:7-13

The Lord’s Prayer is an all encompassing prayer of faith
It covers all
We remember when Jesus prayed:
And I knew that thou hearest me always:
but because of the people which stand by I said it,
that they may believe that thou hast sent me
. John 11:42

I suppose if we really are trusting the Lord,
we would never ask for anything
because we know that He already knows what we need
as stated above in Matthew 6:8

That in no way means we don’t need to pray,
that just means He gets our prayers whether we speak them aloud or not
and He knows and cares for us in ways we may not have thought of yet
There are no set rules with prayers
The Lord’s prayer is not a have-to
But it is a very good reminder that covers all
and that the Father hears our prayers in Jesus ‘ name, spoken or unspoken

If we relinquish our desires and pray Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,
what a marvelous abundance of faith that is

He has everything that concerns us in His hands
and hears our every thought
God is listening to our prayers whether uttered or not

His name is Holy
Pray for His kingdom to come to Earth as it is in Heaven
As we seek His will in each and every situation that we encounter,
God is all powerful to bring to pass His will
Let us be sure to forgive debts and trespasses as He forgives us
Remembering that He provides for all of our natural needs:
trusting He will lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil
Keeping in mind that our God is Lord of all
and that His kingdom is to be glorified and will endure forever
