After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13
For Thine is the Kingdom
The Thief on the cross said, Remember me when You come in Your Kingdom.
He knew Jesus was someone important, without fault, hanging on the cross beside him.
Jesus is the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords.
And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Revelation 19:16
He is higher than the kings of the Earth as His Kingdom is from above.
His Kingdom is above all.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead,
and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, Revelation 1:5
and the Power
The Old Testament had some very profound miracles to share who God was
and how powerful He was to His people.
There is no end to God’s power. He created everything. He stills the seas, He causes tumultuous raging. He controls the elements. He has the ability to shut lions’ mouths, to cause a giant fish to swallow a man, then throw him up onto dry ground. He helped His people win multiple battles and sent angles to fight with them and for them. There is no end to His power. None can compare.
For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens;
God Himself that formed the earth and made it;
He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited:
I am the Lord; and there is none else. Isaiah 45:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:18
Jesus has all the Power. He could destroy the Earth right now and abolish all the evil.
He is powerful and mighty, but He is also willing that none should perish
and all would come to repentance.
and the Glory
Now when Solomon had made an end of praying,
the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices;
and the glory of the Lord filled the house.
And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord,
because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.
And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down,
and the glory of the Lord upon the house,
they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped,
and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever. 2 Chronicles 7:1-3
The glory filled the house, so much so, the priests could not enter.
We have heard in this present time that God and His Spirit has filled His house, the church,
but imagine His presence so strong and full that we could not enter His house.
He has that ability, and though that is obvious, just imagining that is beyond our comprehension.
forever. Amen.
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying,
The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ;
and He shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 11:15
Scriptural References:
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on Him, saying,
If thou be Christ, save Thyself and us.
But the other answering rebuked him, saying,
Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds:
but this man hath done nothing amiss.
And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into Thy kingdom.
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with Me in paradise.
Luke 23:39-42
And He said unto them, Ye are from beneath;
I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
John 8:23
