Do I have the patience of Job? Not even close.
It’s a trying task to wait for God.
It takes, well, patience.
How do you get it?
Why does God take so long is a better question from a human.
He takes His own sweet time. Sometimes it seems like it’s just to make us more patient.
He’s taking a long time to return as an example.
We might even understand, He wants none to perish. It’s still hard to wait.
He takes a long time to answer some prayers and others, He answers what seems like the next hour.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8
God wants us to be persistent and ask, seek and knock. He wants us to tug on His garment when we are losing hope.
Like Peter when he was walking on the water and Jesus reached out His hand to him.
He won’t push you aside. He will help you to keep believing.
The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord.
A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Psalm 37:23 WEB
We can seek Jesus as to why.
We can also keep asking Jesus for the same thing.
That’s what the widow did to The Unrighteous Judge. She kept asking him. And he finally gave in.
And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him,
though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth? Luke 18:7-8
Shall He find faith on the Earth?
So, the next time you are waiting for an answer from God, don’t give up, keep asking Him.
Keep in contact with Him, knowing He hasn’t forgotten, He is going to come through for you.
it could be a number of things.
Asking Him for the answer will get you an answer.
It might not be the answer you expect or want, but it will be the answer from God.
He has a way of making things clear to His children.
Don’t give up. Don’t lose faith dear heart. Let Jesus find faith when He comes back to Earth.
