The Powerful word of God

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:22

Jesus is the Word. He is His Word. When we speak His word or when we pray His word, we are praying and speaking God. He said in Isaiah above, “…it shall not return unto Me void, it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it…” that’s KJV. Let’s look at it in The New Living Translation: “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” Either way it is said, God is saying, when His word goes forth, it is going to accomplish something, whatever He wants it to. Whenever we are praying or speaking to others, we should be listening to the Lord in case there is a scripture we can share as it will be powerful, especially if it is given to us by the Holy Spirit, so always be open.

When we pray His word, speak His word, believe His word, it is powerful. You are speaking God. It is who He is, in fullness. I can’t tell you how many times when I have been in a bad situation that I have remembered and spoken Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Sometimes, I say, “I don’t how you’re going to work this out for good.” Because I am not saying it because He needs to know it, I am saying it to remind myself that His word is true and that He will do what it says. My job is to trust Him and know He has my best interests at heart.
