How do we get that?
The Israelites were protected in Egypt from the plagues
David was protected from Saul
Elijah was protected from Jezebel
Mordecai and all Jews were protected from that wicked Haman
Rehab was protected from destruction
Noah was protected
Lot was protected
Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego were protected from the fiery furnace
These people had God’s favor
They were obedient
They listened
They adhered
And, the protection was for God’s purpose
in other words,
it wasn’t yet their time to die
For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus
has made me free from the law of sin and death
I think if the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus being like an umbrella
If you are under the law of the spirit if life in Christ Jesus,
you are free from the law of sin and death
That doesn’t always mean you’ll be spared from being killed
Jesus warned us many times we would be killed
We don’t know exactly who He was referring to,
but we know it was believers,
followers of Him
and that many of us would be killed in the end times for our faith
Not once did He mention it will be because we didn’t do enough right
or because we did anything wrong
Jesus warned us because of the evil times that are coming
They hated me they will hate you…
There were other characters in the Bible who had God’s favor
and yet, God allowed them to be put to death
Jesus, first and foremost,
then, John the Baptist,
Stephen,
Paul,
and several more in both the old and new testaments.
These were those who had God’s protection for their earthly mortality lifted
for His reasons, whatever they might’ve been
Jesus said, do not fear them who can kill the body,
but rather fear Him whom has the power to cast the body and soul in hell
God doesn’t see death the same way we do
Whosoever seeks to save his life shall lose it
and whosoever seeks to lose his life for My sake shall find it
So, how do you know if you’re to pray for His protection or not?
Always pray for and trust Him for His protection
When Stephen was being stoned,
he saw Jesus seated at the right hand of the Father
God will be with you even in death
He will comfort you and give you strength to endure
whatever He is asking you to go through
Trust Him and watch Him work
