God raised up Moses
Moses was chosen by God
He was hidden and given to the Pharaoh’s daughter to raise
Every single detail was ordained by God
Moses had a relationship with Pharaoh
It is likely that not just any Israelite would have
had the access to Pharaoh that Moses had
God set that up
Let My people go that they My serve Me
Pharaoh did not know God nor did he understand God’s ways
Pharaoh liked to be in charge, to be honored, who needed God?
He was representative of the world,
The pharaoh represents those who want to control
or have power over others, and if they can,
they will not let God’s people serve the Lord,
Pharaoh wanted God’s people to remain his servants
Jesus will not have that
He must be first
The plagues were very specific
The plagues were to show the favor God had on His people
as well as to demand their release from Pharaoh’s control
Favor and protection that God had on His own people
There was Passover blood on the doorposts
That was an outward sign of each family who served the Lord
It was also a responsibility each Israelite had before the Lord,
to mark their own door with blood in faith for protection from the plagues
We may not be told now to mark our doorposts with blood
We do have direction from the Lord in several places in scripture
that tells us what we shall do to abide in the protection of the Almighty
We are mainly familiar with Psalm 91
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God;
in Him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,
and from the noisome pestilence. Psalm 91:1-3
Our alliance is to the Lord God Most High,
The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus the Messiah
If we show allegiance to any other, God will call us on it,
like He did the Israelites when the threw their gold in the fire
to allow Aaron to make the golden calf to worship while Moses was absent
God will not be mocked
Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7
He requires our loyalty and our reverence to Him
It is when we are following Jesus
and bearing witness of what He has done for our lives,
telling others of how important He is to us
and proclaiming Him and lifting Him up for others to see,
that we will be guarded and protected by Him
We can rely on Him for sparing us from His judgments
He will bring on the earth
just like He spared the Israelites in the land of Egypt
Draw close to Him and let Him guide you in these difficult times
He is the only One who has the wisdom we need for what is ahead
Note: Since the Word of God is full-bodied and alive,
it is impossible to cover all aspects of any subject.
It is with hope that you will find more treasures in the word
as you study and that the Holy Spirit stimulates your spiritual self and teaches you more about this and all subjects that are written about.
God Bless you every one!
