The Revelation of Jesus Christ
John wrote that book, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit
He saw Jesus
John knew Jesus when He walked on the Earth
He saw visions of The End of Time and shared those in The Book of Revelation
He saw Heaven and actually saw Jesus’ attire and what He looks like in reality
Most of us won’t get to see Jesus in His full glory,
except through John’s description, and Ezekiel’s and Daniel’s visions
and other glimpses in His word, until we meet Jesus face to face:
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29
We all have to have our own level of seeing Who Jesus is
It’s not just this great faith some have and others don’t
Faith is a gift from God, for each of us
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you,
not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3
What does that all mean?
There is no way to answer that, exactly
Each person either runs with it or doesn’t, they seek after Him or they don’t
They make their choices and they either take that glimpse of Jesus,
the greatest hidden treasure and want to learn more about Him or they don’t
They take that gift that has been given to them seriously
and leave behind the world and follow Him or they don’t
Jesus is a different experience for each one of us, uniquely for us
Though there may be some similarities, He is a very individual God
and He reveals Himself distinctly to each one of us
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb,
and by the word of their testimony;
and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11
The amazing thing about each of our lives, those of us who believe,
is that our testimony of what He has done in our lives, what He has shown us, what we know He has given us is a blessed example of Jesus Himself
A display of His work in our lives that is part of Jesus,
a knowing that we have become a part of Him,
that we have chosen to walk with Him and we are a part of the Kingdom of God
Our testimony is powerful
It is not about us, but, rather, about Him and how He has changed us,
renewed us, and done specific work in our selves
And not just our main testimony,
but proclaiming what He has done for us as long as we have been alive
Sometimes we don’t see His hand in our lives
before we decided to walk with Him,
but He brought us to that place and we responded
Whether He has shown you that or not, His hand led you to the place you are
His hand has guided any of us who have received Him as Lord
and graciously given us of Himself,
so that we can realize His majesty and power and highness
That would not be fun to learn about when it was too late
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me,
and every tongue shall confess to God. Romans 14:11
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Matthew13:16
Ask Jesus to give you sensitivity to what He wants to teach you
and reveal to you about Himself,
and ask Him to keep your heart sensitive to His Holy Spirit
and what He hopes to do in your life
