Where is Jesus?
Is He a sideline or the most important?
When a preacher is preaching or a teacher is teaching,
if you are not being led to Jesus, walk away.
If a lesson does not focus on Jesus, walk away.
Every single solitary thought should be leading us to a greater relationship with Jesus. That is what Jesus taught and what He Himself said was the most important. Listen closely. He is telling us right here how to recognize the truth. Reminder: Jesus is the Truth.
Not every one that saith unto Me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to Me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name?
and in Thy name have cast out devils?
and in Thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23
It is not enough to call Jesus Lord.
People who do the works of God cannot claim any sort of wonder or amazement for themselves. That glory always belongs to the Lord Jesus.
Those who know Jesus will want to glorify Him.
That will be what they are about, glorifying Jesus, not themselves.
Those who glorify themselves or who glorify His works instead of Him
do not know Him and His ways.
Being focused on His miracles is not the same as focusing on the Son of God.
They are not worthy to be called His disciples.
Jesus will say, I never knew you. That will not be a good day for them.
Keep your focus on Jesus. It is good to glorify Jesus in His miracles,
but not to separate His miracles from Him.
God reminded the Israelites of what He had done.
The Lord shall reign for ever and ever. Exodus 15:18
It’s always about God, never did Moses encourage the Israelites to worship him.
Moses always pointed the people to the Lord.
The same with all the prophets.
In the Book of Revelation, John the Revelator bowed before the angel.
This was the response of the angel and should be our heart as well.
Should anyone try to worship us or think we’re really great, point them to Jesus.
Give Him the glory.
And I John saw these things, and heard them.
And when I had heard and seen,
I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel
which shewed me these things.
Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren the prophets,
and of them which keep the sayings of this book:
worship God. Revelation 22:8-9
Worship God. Not anything or anyone else. Worship God.
Seek His face. Learn of Him. Get to know Him.
Cultivate your relationship with Him.
It is all about Jesus, God and The Holy Spirit.
Follow Him. Following anyone else, any other person,
any teaching or doctrine other than the Gospel is going to lead you astray.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him,
and given Him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11
There is none like Him. No one should take His glory. Jesus, God in the flesh.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
