And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32
So many lies, everywhere.
You cannot get away from them, but you can learn to spot them.
They come in bunches of many and they come one in much truth.
In that case, the one lie defiles. If you accept one lie,
it will wiggle its way in and take over more territory.
Learn to find them and how can you do that?
By loving the truth.
What is the truth? A better question is: Who is the truth? That would be Jesus.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. John 14:6
f you do not love the truth, if you do not learn
to humble your thoughts before Jesus, you will find yourself deceived.
And you may not even recognize it.
Do deceived people know they are deceived?
They usually do not. Someone has to tell them.
Then, they may or may not listen.
People have to choose for themselves whether or not
they want to follow the truth. Some people make their own truth.
We can go back to the very beginning of the bible
to see 3 people who made their own truth. The first two were Adam and Eve, when they believed Satan’s crafty twisting of the truth:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said,
Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof,
then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:3-5
People imagine that Eve actually saw a serpent who talked to her,
but it does not say that she actually saw it,
but he communicated to her,
just like he does to us now and tries to get us off-track.
With Cain, Cain chose his own offering which did not impress the Lord.
He chose his own truth. That didn’t fly with God. God was not pleased.
And in process of time it came to pass,
that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.
And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect.
And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. Genesis 4:3-5
People do this all the time.
We choose what we want to offer to God instead of obedience.
And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings
and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
and to hearken than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22
God is not looking for lip service.
He is truth and He wants what He wants.
If we choose our truth, we are not honoring God,
but ourselves or some other thing or person we are serving.
Social Justice right now is one of the top ideologies that are being followed.
When you have your own truth, there are so many directions you can go,
you cannot fit God into those mistruths. He does not change.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord,
which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8
Love the truth. Be humble before the Lord and seek His will.
Let His word become a part of you and remain humble before the truth.
If you choose to love the truth, that is what you will find.
