Principalities and powers of darkness, the rulers of this world
The wickedness that we can see all around us if we look not too hard
Satan has but a short time and he has great fury and also great deception
He appears as an angel of light
Deceiving all who will let him do so
Wrecking havoc after he gains control
While Gods power is infinitely greater, He has handed the world to Satan
Because we call on God we are free from many of Satan’s devices,
especially the closer we get to God,
and the more His word becomes a part of us
We are not always free from the devil’s influences in our world
The Great Deceiver also can be operating through people in our lives,
through leaders who rule over us in government,
our bosses at work, or otherwise
We are to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
If we stay close to the Lord Jesus, we will learn to recognize the devil’s work
and learn how to combat it and refuse it through the power of the Holy Spirit
I hate to say it but Satan is not going anywhere for a while
He’s a serpent whose work is never-ending and he has many helpers
both in the physical and the supernatural who willingly do his bidding
Remember God has given us the tools we need to be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. (See Armor of God)
