The Wheat and the Tares

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this.
The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares,
ye root up also the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest:
and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers,
Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:
but gather the wheat into my barn
. Matthew 13:28-30

The good and the bad will be separated at the end
When the Lord gives the go-ahead,
When every opportunity has been given
The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
the harvest is the end of the world;
and the reapers are the angels.
Matthew 13:39

We see much false teaching, some of that is flesh,
maybe, with some, it is not that the heart wants to stray from the Lord
Then, some, who have not only strayed from the truth,
even chosen untruth, they have also led others away from the truth
They will be exposed and they will be ashamed before the Son of God

While none of us is perfect, Jesus has us all figured out
He knows our thoughts and our intentions of everything we do

Many seem distraught about those who are leading others astray
There seem to be cults within the church
Leaders that have put themselves up above the Lord
and have beat others with the word,
trying to put those who follow them into submission
There are others who give people an out,
for sin or for refusal to follow God’s ways
Neither is right, Following Jesus is where we should all be,
never following a man or a doctrine or any leader,
no matter how noble they seem

We have heard of the Prosperity Gospel
whose leaders’ efforts treat God like He is a bank
and demand that you make deposits into His Kingdom
in order to reap rewards
That is just one such cult within the church, there are many others
Can Jesus deliver those who are caught in the nets
and encumbered by the heavy weights of false doctrine?

And another angel came out of the temple,
crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud,
Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap;
for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Revelation 14:15

God is ever reaching those who will come to the knowledge of the truth
Pray with faith, knowing that our Lord hears our every word
His compassions fail not
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;
neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isaiah 59:1
His love is ever-seeking the hearts of those who have gone astray
Pray for them and leave them in God’s hands
Be gracious to them and loving and kind
while warning them what you know to be true in God’s word,
trying to reach them by the truth of the gospel

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh
. Jude 1:23
