Fancy preachers tell you you are set for a blessing.
We are always set for a blessing as the Lord continually blesses His children,
but not always in the way we want or expect.
Many preachers tell you things that itching ears want to hear.
Truth + Error = Deception
Such as that there is a Rapture that will sweep us away from the coming turmoil.
The Rapture happens at Jesus’ return, after The Tribulation, immediately after.
Those preachers have misused and twisted the scriptures.
I heard a prophecy this morning that said persecution will increase.
Then, I was asking my neighbor who attends a certain church
if they teach about the End Times and she said, ‘No, they never do.’
I can see the fig tree.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender,
and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near,
even at the doors. Matthew 24:32-33
Watching and waiting is important.
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Mark 13:37
This world is far from easy to walk in, and it seems,
some Christians still run after the pleasures of the world,
instead of carrying the cross of Christ that we are commanded to carry.
Remember Lot’s wife. Luke 17:32
Lot’s wife couldn’t walk away from the world, so she didn’t make it.
There are no sweet songs of the world.
There are, however, pacifying sweet things that keep us from focusing on Jesus,
that distract us from the Kingdom, from His righteousness and from facing the truth.
True sweetness is drawing close to Jesus and remaining in His perfect will.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough,
and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62
Does that mean you cannot enjoy life, that you cannot have fun?
Not at all.
But remember, always keep Jesus as the center. He is the sweetest part of life.
