There is always more.
As with any relationship,
there is always more to learn about the other person.
As in God’s case, He does want us to know Him.
That is up to each of us as to how much we want to know Him
and how much we treasure Him.
When you are searching for God, trying to meet him on His terms.
When you are looking above, away from this world,
and trying hard to keep your priorities right, there is always more.
More to do.
More to give.
More to learn.
When people talk about Salvation being a free gift, and it is,
Salvation is not a one way street.
When we chose to follow Jesus,
we entered into a covenant with the Most High God.
A covenant is an agreement, an honorable way to respond
and to be a part of what is asked of you and the other party.
Giving your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ
and not looking back at what you left behind,
following Him whole-heartedly,
These are examples of the covenant we have entered.
It is up to each of us to know and to be in communication with God
that we are upholding our end of the agreement.
While there is always more for us to give of ourselves,
more time, more searching the deep things of God,
more time in prayer,
more time in fasting,
more time studying His word.
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
As we seek Him, there is always more for Him to give,
always more for Him to teach us,
of Himself,
of His grace,
of His mercy,
of His love,
of His heart toward us,
of His heart toward humankind.
The very precious, intimate relationship with us individually,
that is unique and fully satisfying to us.
He loves each one of us so completely
Knowing Him is an extreme honor and privilege.
It is by knowing Him and understanding who He is
and how much He desires for the lost to listen to Him,
to respond to Him,
and thereby understanding that His heart breaks
for those who are choosing to spend eternity apart from Him.
He has so much more to teach us, no matter how much we know.
The Creator of the Universe and all it contains
is also the One who created you,
who you are,
and has arranged the circumstances in your life
to give you the opportunity to learn about Him
as well as to develop your relationship with Him.
Jesus cherishes each moment we spend with Him.
It would be impossible to consider all the ways He reaches out to us.
Look and listen carefully for there is always more.
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard,
that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
Isaiah 40:28
Scriptural Reference:
But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from.
Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’
Luke 13:27
