It is quite simple on the one hand
and very complex on the other
It is a battle for your soul
And most of us have a whole lifetime to decide
Evil is enticing, constantly lying to you
It compels you to follow it
and seek after its dainty morsels
The wickedness can be hidden or brazen
The Holy Spirit bears witness of The Christ,
The Messiah, The Son of God who came to earth in the flesh
and rose to be seated with God in the heavenly places
That is what life is all about…for us to decide
The choice to take up our cross and follow Him, or not
Whom will you choose?
There is yet another choice I have not yet mentioned
It is a choice that is different for each of us, yet remarkably similar
That choice is self
If you choose self over God,
your fate will be the same as that of the Deceiver,
who is, Satan Himself who will be tossed into the Lake of Fire
The spiritual realm is real
Many are often led astray with the lusts of the world and the pride of life
The spiritual world is eternal
The natural world is constantly fading,
constantly dying,
constantly competing with the spiritual and the unseen
People cannot usually see the spiritual world
so they believe what they see and know is all there is
But in each human, a witness of God has been placed
If they continue to squelch the voice of God
because of their love of the world
or the love of self,
or their desire to do wickedness,
they will be reminded of the Truth on Judgment Day
as they face our Creator
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21
