We are strangers here, just passing through.
We came here like everyone else.
Midstream, we made a different choice, a better one, that changed our direction, our course.
Once we decided to follow Jesus, there is no turning back, no looking back even.
Remember Lot’s Wife. Luke 17:32
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4
Jesus is the Way. He makes the way clear to those who follow Him.
His word illuminates the path we walk on so we can follow.
The trumpets are blowing. Though we cannot hear them with our natural ears, we can hear them.
Jesus’ triumphant return will bring us to the fulfillment of all He has promised.
While we are encouraged to consider this world temporary and meaningless
in comparison to the Kingdom of God.
We can still get wrapped up and intertwined with the affairs of this world, what we see, hear and smell.
Do you ever feel out of place, like you don’t belong?
Our citizenship is in Heaven…
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body,
according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. Philippians 3:20-21
For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
Be comforted for: Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35
