To open their eyes,
and to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan unto God,
that they may receive forgiveness of sins,
and inheritance among them
which are sanctified by faith that is in Me. Acts 26:18
These words Jesus spoke to Paul
when He revealed Himself to Paul on the road to Damascus
Paul received the vision Jesus gave him and was obedient
to what the Lord showed him, what He wanted Paul to do
Visions and dreams from the Lord can help us fulfill His will
We should never despise prophesyings
Despise not prophesyings. 1 Thessalonians 5:20
God sent Paul to open the eyes of the Jews and the Gentiles,
as his eyes had been opened
Paul was attentive to the vision Jesus gave him
Paul said, Whereupon, O king Agrippa,
I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: Acts 26:19
We should also be obedient as Paul was to have the same mission we have:
Jesus told us to Preach the Gospel
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In My name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents;
and if they drink any deadly thing,
it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:15-18
We have seen the set of commands for us from the Lord Jesus
as written above
Maybe they were not given to us by vision,
but they are written in God’s eternal word
Let us not ignore them
