Troubled on every side

Turmoil is on the earth
Chaos, confusion, havoc, destruction, death, hatred, and much more
All are increasing

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken;
cast down, but not destroyed;
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake,
that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

2 Corinthians 4:8-11

If we are doing what we believe the Lord wants us to do, we are doing well
It seems sometimes, it can feel like we’re not doing enough, that is,
using our talents,
spending enough time in His word,
in prayer,
fasting,
being His hands and feet
Whether or not someone is being obedient, another person cannot tell
The most important thing is do what you know He is asking of you

Whenever I am a little concerned about things,
it helps to read stories where God performed His word
That must be why so many examples are in the bible
Nothing was left out, there are applicable events
when He blessed His people and turned things around for them

Like Jonah, he didn’t listen, ended up in the belly of a whale
The Lord was merciful and gave him another chance to be obedient

Or when Joseph was sold into slavery, ended up in jail,
and then the Lord used him to save His people during a famine

What about when Elijah was hiding in the cave during the drought?
God commanded crows to feed him

We can all remember Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
being tossed into the fiery furnace because they worshiped God,
and came out not injured by the fire and not even smelling like smoke

God comes through for those who trust in Him
I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?

Luke 18:8
