Trusting God for what is Ahead

The Israelites had Moses to encourage them to follow the Lord.
God knew that Moses wasn’t enough.
He performed signs and wonders and had to keep doing so
so that they would still trust Him.
The plagues of Egypt were not just for the wicked ones, God also showed His protection to those who followed Him.
We hear terrible things about the Israelites, their lack of faith and how displeased God was with the bunch of them, yet still, He kept reminding them Who He was.

We also have signs from the Lord.
He reminds us that He is working, that He is near. God still performs miracles.
They might just be miracles that other people would not recognize.
Those miraculous acts that God does in our life is part of our testimony.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb,
and by the word of their testimony; a

nd they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

Walking in faith. Remembering the things God has done for us.
Sometimes they are little, but important to us, other times,
we see the miracle and we are in wonder and awe.
Then, we might forget.
Why do we forget? I do not know. Writing them down is important.
So is telling others, even if you have to tell the whole story
so the other person will understand.
Even if we don’t write them down, we can always go back to His word
and find miracles, things He has done for His people.
All the way through the bible, from the beginning to the end.

That is the key to trusting God for what is ahead.
Reminding yourself what He has done, how He got you out of this situation
and structured just the right circumstances that you know that somehow,
if God’s hand wasn’t in whatever happened in your life, things would be different.
To trust God for what is ahead, to have some scriptures hidden in your heart
that you can pull them out when you need them, share them, pray them,
believe on them, have faith and remember His previous work, and trust Him.

My old faithful is: Romans 8:28
I have found that no matter what the circumstances are,
God will turn it for good:
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Every single, solitary time I pray this scripture and believe on it,
and then leave the situation in the hands of God, He does just that,
He works the most impossible situation out for good.
I don’t know how He does it, but He does it.
I’ve seen His word performed over and over and over again.

Maybe you have another scripture?
or scriptures that God has given you and made solid in your heart?
We know what He will do because of what He has done in the past.
God is not a man that He can lie. He is good for His word.
God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man,
that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it?
or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Numbers 23:19

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven,
and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth,
and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower,
and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11

God’s word never comes back empty. It is alive. It goes forth and does its work.
Look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.
Whatever is ahead, God’s word is working, God is working,
Jesus is His word and His word is alive.
We serve a Living God.
Rest in that, and let God do the heavy lifting.
He sends His word forth
and it accomplishes whatsoever He wants it to, for our good.

Scriptural References:

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Luke 21:28

And I will take you to Me for a people, and I will be to you a God:
and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God,
which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
Exodus 6:7

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
