If you’re reading the Word of God through logic and reasoning,
you will gain from it,
If you’re reading the Word of God through His Holy Spirit,
you will gain life and freedom and spiritual understanding.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
By looking at the things of the spirit in the flesh, understanding will be limited. Once you allow your inner man to be humble
and to look at the Word through God’s perspective,
your understanding will be spiritual.
Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.
Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
James 4:8
Ask Jesus that He opens your understanding.
Then opened He their understanding,
that they might understand the scriptures, Luke 24:45
Seek Him and His ways and ask Him to understand how He thinks.
It is an honor and a privilege when Jesus teaches you how He sees things.
It takes humility to receive that His thoughts are higher than ours.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,
saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9
Jesus told the disciples when He asked them who they thought He was,
they told him, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
Jesus said the only way they could know that
was because God opened their eyes.
And Jesus answered and said unto him,
Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee,
but My Father which is in heaven. Matthew 16:17
If you want your eyes to be opened, you can seek the Lord to teach you
and reveal the hidden treasures to you.
Otherwise, you will remain an infidel and not understand things
but on a surface level.
That’s how much of the world is.
They do not know the secrets of the Kingdom.
Let Him live and breathe within you.
Search for Jesus like hidden treasure.
Once you drink of the Living water that He gives, you will never thirst again.
