(A very wise woman I knew had a dream
She dreamt that she was looking out over a Graveyard
The Lord spoke to her: “There is much buried treasure here.”
He continued, “Many of these people have died
without fulfilling My purpose in their lives.”
Most people know their talents, what they’re good at,
they know the talents with which they are fruitful
A realization of talents often comes when you do things you like
and find successes in them
For a carpenter, like Jesus, He must’ve liked to build, to create, not a surprise
King David was a shepherd of sheep
He also was good with protecting those sheep
He knew how to use a sling shot
He learned that God protected him and gave him strength
He also knew how to play the harp well
An example might be a groundskeeper who may run into other people who need advice, or an outlook, or wisdom
or many of the other attributes the groundskeeper may have
Perhaps he has experiences to share or a host of other things
The groundskeeper may use his time to pray or meditate on scripture
and draw close to the Lord since there is probably a lot of time to be alon
Maybe a good question might be: How do you use your time?
We all can ask ourselves this question
The Lord gives us the talents we need for what He is calling us to do.
If you’re a writer, write, if you’re an artist, draw or paint or sculpt,
if you’re good with animals, look into how you can use your talents,
if you’re a good communicator,
seek to find those areas where you can use your talents,
whatever you can do, do well
and utilize your talents, your God-given gifts for the Lord
Pray and seek His face so that you will hear:
“Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well. And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.
Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep. And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul. And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.
And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight. And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
