How do we know what we know?
Jesus has opened our spiritual eyes
Not all can see
Not all can hear
We have been given the mysteries of God
so that we can walk by faith and not by sight
He answered and said unto them,
Because it is given unto you
to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but to them it is not given. Matthew 13:11
The Holy Spirit does not reveal Jesus to everyone
Remember, God looks on the heart
That is why we should be very careful to listen to the Holy Spirit
We have no idea which of His words will reach people,
we also know no matter which words we speak,
even when we speak of His word, His word might fall on deaf ears
We walk by faith, not by sight when we are sharing the gospel,
we do our best just to be obedient
and to let the Lord guide our conversations
When we are going about our day,
running into neighbors and friends and coworkers,
each of these conversations can be seasoned with salt
Ye are the salt of the earth:
but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?
it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out,
and to be trodden under foot of men. Matthew 5:13
When we are making choices,
trying to do our best to follow the Lord when things are unclear,
we walk by faith and not by sight,
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23
He makes our path clear
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
And the biggest step of faith is what keeps us following,
knowing that God is not a man that He can lie,
that He revealed Himself to each of us in a personal way,
(and if He hasn’t yet, ask Him to show Himself to you),
knowing that every word He spoke in His word is true
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.
