Walking with Jesus

Did you know that God knows our days
He has ordained them
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23
It is up to us to follow His plan for us
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high, I cannot attain unto it
. Psalm 139:6
You know all the things I ponder
and understand my deepest thoughts and their meanings

Do not claim victory before it is won
Behold, I come quickly:
hold that fast which thou hast,
that no man take thy crown
. Revelation 3:11
Do not be vain before God
Demanding He hear your voice
And He open the door for you
The door is opened at His discretion
For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy
and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion
. Romans 9:15

It is so important for us to listen to Him when He reaches out to us
It is important that we not push Him aside or disregard His voice
when He beckons us
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:
if any man hear my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me
. Revelation 3:20

Our righteousness will not cut it
That does not by any means mean we are to wander about,
not knowing or not having an assurance that we know Christ
Each of us has to work out our own salvation
with fear and trembling Philippians 2:12
He will teach us what we need to know
That does not mean we should have the attitude
that we have cat in the bag,
We should have the attitude that we are at His mercy
and not be prideful in our righteous efforts
but humble before Him,
He is, after all, the God of the Universe, our Creator

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness,
which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ,
the righteousness which is of God by faith;
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,
and the fellowship of his sufferings,
being made conformable unto his death;
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Not as though I had already attained,
either were already perfect
: but I follow after,
if that I may apprehend that
for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:
but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before
, Philippians 3:9-14

This is my advice and it comes from me as I understand scripture:
Jesus tells us what to do
enter at the straight gate,
stay on the narrow path,
carry our crosses daily,
get to know Him,
aim to please Him
It is up to each of us to get to know our Savior
and His word:
all the wonderful promises He has for us,
as well as all the warnings He has for us
Learn to hear from Him,
Learn to obey Him,
Remain humble before Him
and seek to learn and understand His ways
After all, that is what He said to those who did not make it:
“I never knew you.”
Love the Truth 2 Thessalonians 2:10
Get to know Jesus in a real way

Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?”
And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate,
for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door,
and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door,
saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’
and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’
then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence,
and You taught in our streets
.’
But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from.
Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,
when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob
and all the prophets in the kingdom of God,
and yourselves thrust out.
They will come from the east and the west,
from the north and the south,
and sit down in the kingdom of God.
And indeed there are last who will be first,
and there are first who will be last
.” Luke 13:23-30

Above in verse 28, it says some will be thrust out
This goes along with many scriptures,
which reminds us: Do not take God for granted
We are at His mercy
Our hope is in Jesus
