Warnings from Jesus in Sermon on the Mount

Matthew 5
~Warnings to follow Jesus’ Commandments~
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets:
I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. v17
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass,
one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. v18
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so,
he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. v19
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees,
ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. v20

~Warnings of Hell~
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother
without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:
and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca,
shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say,
Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. v22
Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him;
lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge,
and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. v25
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish,
and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. v29
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish,
and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. v30

~Warning of how God sees Divorce~
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife,
saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:
and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. v32

Matthew 6
~Warnings of losing your reward from God~
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them:
otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. v1
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee,
as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets,
that they may have glory of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. v2
But when thou doest alms,
let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
That thine alms may be in secret:
and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. v4
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are:
for they love to pray standing in the synagogues
and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. v6

~Warnings of Unforgiveness~
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. v12
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. v15

~More Warnings of losing God’s reward and that fasting in vain is empty~
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance:
for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. v16

Matthew 7
~Warnings of Judging or condemning others~
Judge not that ye be not judged. v1
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged:
and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. v2

~Warning to be careful what you share with others~
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,
neither cast ye your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. v6

~Warning to make sure you are on the right track~
Enter ye in at the strait gate:
for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction,
and many there be which go in thereat: v13

~Warnings of those who wish to devour you~
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are ravening wolves. v15
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit;
but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. v17

~Warnings how some who are sure of themselves but will not enter Heaven~
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. v21
And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. v23

~Warnings of how important it is to heed God’s word and warnings~
And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not,
shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: v26
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. v27
