Wars and Rumors of Wars

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars:
see that ye be not troubled:
for all these things must come to pass,
but the end is not yet. Matthew 24:6

In our world at present, we are looking at 3 potential wars
One looks to be imminent
God knows how to protect His own
Safety is in the Lord
Not in men
Not in the fortifications we build for ourselves
Jesus did warn us that we might suffer
That always means not unless and until He allows it
When Peter did not want Jesus to die,
Jesus responded:
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan:
thou art an offence unto me:
for thou savourest not the things that be of God,
but those that be of men
. Matthew 16:23

Paul also had pre-Knowledge of a severe persecution
and he chose to go forward and not try to avoid it
The people who heard of it, cared about Paul and wanted to spare him
And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle,
and bound his own hands and feet, and said,
Thus saith the Holy Ghost,

So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle,
and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place,
besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart
?
for I am ready not to be bound only,
but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying,
The will of the Lord be done
. Acts 21:11-14
Paul was willing to be persecuted for the Lord and refused to avoid it

The Lord Jesus is careful to prepare us for what is coming
and knows the plans of the enemy
He warned us many times while He walked on the earth that we will suffer
He also knows what He is going to allow for us to go through
and that is where we will need to draw on His strength to endure
To resist God’s will is not going to please God

Hide yourself in the shadow of His wings
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty
. Psalm 91:1
