Jesus told His disciples to Watch and Pray.
There are things that Jesus wants us to be aware of.
In the ancient cities that have been destroyed and even cities that are still standing,
they had watchtowers so the watchmen could see the enemy coming from far away.
Many towns were built on hills.
There was some safety in the hills, there would be walls all along the city
and watchtowers for those whose job it was to watch for the enemy.
We all must remain watchful and aware of the enemy as the day draws near.
If we are too wrapped up in the affairs of the world that seem to beckon us each moment,
we may very well miss what the Lord is trying to show us.
If you don’t listen, you may not recognize the enemy.
Part of listening is being aware there is an enemy and he wishes to keep us distracted from his devices
and also from what the Lord is trying to do in our lives.
Deception is heavy on the world and it will get heavier.
Discernment comes from the Lord, knowing the truth of God’s Word and recognizing attacks.
God will warn us and if we are listening,
we will be able to keep ourselves in His will, remaining steadfast in His word and obedience.
If we seek Jesus, we will find Him if we search for Him with all our heart.
And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13
