We are in His Hands

Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble,
and He bringeth them out of their distresses.
He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Then are they glad because they be quiet;
so He bringeth them unto their desired haven. Psalm 107:28-30

We have much trouble in the world right now
We can find our peace in the midst of the storm
All these things were prophesied of many years ago,
that we shall face such turbulent times
In Psalm 23, the line:
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me,
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me

Our days were planned for us
It is no coincidence that we are living in these times
God decided when and where to put any of us in the span of time
Noah and Abraham and King David and Esther and Daniel
were all born at their correct time,
John the Baptist, all the disciples and Paul and you and me
This is our time
As rough as the seas are in our lives, our mission is now,
this time is our time given to us by God
We can handle it with His strength,
bringing anyone along who would also like to follow Jesus

But when he saw the wind boisterous,
he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him,
and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Matthew 14:30-31

When the seas are tumultous and we’re being tossed to and fro,
and we, like Peter, feel we are sinking,
remember, Who is this even the wind and the seas obey Him?

Additional Scriptures:

And the same day, when the even was come, He saith unto them,
Let us pass over unto the other side.
And when they had sent away the multitude,
they took Him even as He was in the ship.
And there were also with Him other little ships.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship,
so that it was now full.
And He was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow:
and they awake Him, and say unto Him,
Master, carest thou not that we perish?
And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And He said unto them, Why are ye so fearful?
how is it that ye have no faith?
And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another,
What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?
Mark 4:35-41
