The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy;
He will rest in his love, He will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
There are so many scriptures about God’s mighty power
He can do anything, that is a fact
Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did He in heaven, and in earth,
in the seas, and all deep places. Psalm 135:6
He doesn’t do everything
He most definitely does things His way
Oftentimes we do not understand why He does what He does…
until after the fact
The mockers said to Jesus while He was hanging on the cross:
He saved others; himself He cannot save.
If He be the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross,
and we will believe Him. Matthew 27:42
He chose not to and that was His right, He is God after all
God’s mightiness is no mystery to those who believe,
however, we still need reminders because the world is so loud
We must read the word often so that it truly becomes a part of us
We also must refuse all that the world has to offer to us
and remember where our allegiance and loyalty are founded
Jesus picks and chooses what He wants to do for His purposes,
which we may or may not understand
Our job is to follow and obey and to seek His will
If we busy ourselves with what God should be doing,
then we are acting in pride
Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker!
Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth.
Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou?
or thy work, He hath no hands? Isaiah 45:9
God remains Mighty
For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords,
a great God, a mighty, and a terrible,
which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: Deuteronomy 10:17
