What do You Think, Lord?

Sometimes I wonder what You are thinking,
then I remember it’s all in Your word.
Or what you’re feeling, then I realize that, too, is in Your word.
You spelled it all out, a guide, a roadmap, a love letter,
telling us of future events.
If You number the hairs on our heads and know our every thought,
even more than that, You know our every intention.
There is nothing that gets past You.
Nothing.
Nothing You don’t notice.
You know if we’re ashamed of Your words,
if we chose Your way when no one was looking,
if we did a task to honor You or to be noticed by others.
You see it all,
You weigh it all.
When You judge us,
though we are cleansed with Your blood because of our acceptance of Your death on the cross and Your resurrection,
we can still do things that remove us from your protection
and without repentance,
we will be judged for those things unless we come before You with our shame.
Your strength is made perfect in weakness.
Though we are not under the law, we cannot do what we please
and call it good to and take advantage of Your grace.
We cannot hide our sin from You,
let us remain open to Your correction and sensitive to Your Spirit.
We will be held accountable for every idle word,
every deed, whether it be good or whether it be evil,
Everything we have done will be exposed either now or later,
everything naked and open and laid bare.
Expose us to Your knowledge and weigh us on Your just balance
and see if there be any wicked way in us
and lead us in Your ways, everlasting.

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
