What does God care about?
God cares about people
God cares about love
God cares about forgiveness
He cares about pain
And failure
And repentance
He cares about how we use our talents
and how we use our time,
and how we use our money,
and what our intentions are
God cares about how much we want to know about Him,
how interested we are in what He has to say
He cares where we place Him in our lives
He cares about each deed we do or do not complete
And if we respond in love
He cares whether we care
God cares that we obey Him,
and whether or not we put Him first in all things
He cares whether we are trying or just sliding by
He cares if we love the world more than we love Him,
or anything or anyone more than we love Him
God cares about our hopes, our dreams, our ambitions that He has given us,
those that will glorify Him, that will last for all Eternity
He cares about our efforts toward Him
Our love for our neighbors, our friends
God cares that we let others know about Jesus,
that we share the gospel,
that we have given it our all, that we have given Him our all
He cares if we care for the perishing
He cares that we count others better than ourselves, or not
God cares whether we fear Him, or not so much
Or whether we have just walked through the world
without much thought or credence given to salvation
and what Jesus has done for us
He cares that we care about justice and mercy
and that we walk humbly with Him
God cares how we treat His temple
and how we treat His people
and whether or not we touch the unclean things
Jesus cares if we gamble with our lives and our Salvation
Or if we keep them safely tucked in His Kingdom by remaining humble
He cares that we don’t hide anything from Him and that we seek His face,
and ask for His strength, continually, to get through this world,
to stay on the straight and narrow road
That we keep ourselves close to Him, under the shadow of His wings,
where we are safe and protected
Or whether we choose to mingle with the world
and take chances with our spiritual walk
There are many more instances that God cares about
You know some that I don’t know
as each of our walks with Jesus are individual
Ask Him to show you, ask Him to tell you, He surely will
What do you care about, God?
And, Jesus, how can I learn to care about those things you cherish?
