Sometimes, when we are doing all the things we know to do
to serve the Lord, things seem to fall apart
Whether it is an attack or a persecution, sometimes we do not know
We know that Jesus promised we would have trials
He also promised He has overcome the world
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
We are supposed to find peace in Jesus
His peace is not always easy to find
Our minds battle with us to get to that peace
Each of us is different, but there is are two scriptures
that describe what can happen to any of us in our minds:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
We can all battle in our minds, whether it is with our own fleshly logic
or whether we are under attack from the enemy,
we still are to submit our thoughts to the Lord Jesus
and put our thoughts into a lower position than His word, a humble position,
and to bring them to the obedience of Christ
Sounds easy enough, but when we are in the heat of the situation,
it can take much effort on our part with the Holy Spirit
This is where we know what we should do,
but to be honest with ourselves and God,
it can take effort that is not that easy to do
and we may even need to draw on the strength of the Holy Spirit
Once we remember that God works all things together for good:
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
It is as simple as it sounds
God works all things together for good
This is a beautiful thing when it happens
and sometimes it can be quite surprising,
how Jesus puts the broken pieces together,
oftentimes in ways that are inconceivable until they happen
Let Him reign in your life and watch Him work!
