When you know what you’re supposed to be thinking about
or praying about but your mind drifts.
You are being a Martha, being worried and bothered about so many things.
It doesn’t stop. Worries keep flooding in.
It’s a battle, a war inside of you.
Fear not the bible says many times over.
Easier said than done.
We can’t be fake, so how to get there?
How to let go of the worries that swirl around in our minds.
Maybe not even worries or fear, but clutter nevertheless.
Things that distract from the Lord.
There are many scriptures that help us,
casting down our imaginations,
thinking on the good and lovely,
your Father knows what things you have need of.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2
Those are all good. They help.
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:3
Keeping focus on Jesus and His kingdom seems to help the most.
If I lose sight of it, this world comes in like a flood,
bringing with it its devastation.
Forget about the world and focus on Jesus.
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;
but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5
