Of course we can trust God, we know that.
What about people, people who proclaim God, Jesus, can we trust in them?
If we trust in anyone too much, we might not recognize them failing.
That is why it is important to never follow a person.
Always keep Christ as your Lord and Savior and not trust in a person.
Trusting a person and trusting in a person are very different actions.
Trusting a person with your spiritual life is idolatry.
Our salvation belongs in the hands of the Lord Jesus.
We can ask for discernment, love the truth, pray, fast,
and do our best to keep our relationship squeaky clean before the Lord
by confessing and repenting.
Follow the Lord who will never fail us nor forsake us.
He will see us through all the way to the end.
Seek Him, listen to Him, let Him teach you His ways.
The time is at hand.
Read God’s word as much as is possible, keep your lamps filled with oil.
Remain in communion with Jesus and His Holy Spirit.
Watch and pray as Jesus told us that so we enter not into temptation.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41
There are so many false teachings and doctrines out there,
some even being taught in the church.
I wonder what would have happened if Eve took the apple before the Lord
and asked the Lord about it before she ate it
or if her husband had done so.
When we hear things we are not sure of,
let us be reminded to take those things to the Lord to get His response.
He knows how the scriptures might be twisted
and He knows how to clarify them, give us discernment
and reveal the truth to us.
A major folly of humans is trying to understand His word without His help.
Really, we cannot trust anyone else to teach us without the Lord,
even if we have the most profound bible teacher,
make sure you include the Holy Spirit in your interaction with him or her.
This is your life, your walk with Jesus, and your salvation.
Humans are not without fault and by us being active participants in our learning, leaning on the Holy Spirit and letting Him guide us into all truth,
we will stay on the straight and narrow path.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in My name,
He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26
In whom can you trust? The Holy Spirit, Jesus and God.
But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you
than that which we have preached unto you,
let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8
Everything you learn, even if it seems right to you,
verify all with God and study His word with His help. Don’t leave Him out.
